I have a ViewSonic polarized/interlaced 3D monitor and wanted to report the stereo 3D working with the Crysis 3/D3D9 setup.
You need TriDef 5.4 (beta) to get the MWO profile.

For those unfamiliar, TriDef is software the takes DirectX 3D games and configures the DirectX pipeline to dual-render with a second camera with a small offset - yielding stereoscopic 3D for non-stereoscopic games. (You need a supported 3D monitor.)

It has a few issues:
  • Since your eyes focus into the scene, the HUD looses focus giving a visual of two targeting squares. It strikes me that is how it probably how a HUD would function IRL but this is a game so it'd be nice if the targeting squares were billboarded at the same depth as the mech.
  • Occasional blurring - only last for a fraction of a second but keeps happening. Maybe its my eyes... maybe it's some other gfx/camera glitch that manifest this way in S3D.
(I'll update once the D3D11 support is released.)
