Drop them down to 15's, pack a tag, and get a bigger engine. Then you can make that bad boy work in pugs.

Why bother using a Tag just to make LRMs do what they logically should already be able to do by default? You're spending an Energy hardpoint on a no-damage weapon just to enable another weapon to function. Why not just slot a Laser that actually hurts enemies then "not" bring the defunct LRMs? Just slot Medium Lasers and SRMs. Run to 300m. Pewpew powpow. Just switch to the 4SP too. It's much better at this. Better yet, roll a Mech with no missile hardpoints at all. Problem solved. A lot of people run Cataphracts now because you can run 3 variants with almost no burdening missile hardpoints.(just 1 in 4X head you can forget about) Pewpew, powpow.
That all what I has saided was not just a shameless bump in any way.

Because TAG actually makes your missiles BETTER.
As an LRM boat, having the most potent LRMs is the way to go, so artemis and tag are a must. If you have your own, you do not need to rely on anyone but yourself.

There is truth in that LRM carriers have their place and the team is what counts. Unfortunately, the teams are primarily becoming missile boaters with scouts making other mechs worthless despite their skill level. Brawlers will not do well against a coordinated team composed of a lot of LRMs. True that is not the fault of the people piloting LRM mechs. That also doesn't mean a LRM mech is broken although Artemis has done some silly things. I lay that fault on PGI as the maps do not provide adequate cover or allow Brawlers the ability to implement any kind of tactics as a defense. If there were taller buildings, walls, or dense forests that gave cover then I'd have no issue. Currently there just isn't any way to duck out of the storm as a close in fighter.
you could be right as far as the arch of lrm's are concerned only the forest levels and city maps offers contiunous cover so no volleys stand a chance of hitting you. really though if you want to avoid missles in the forest stick to the cave routes and the snow city stick to the tunnels. so that's over 50% of maps where an lrm boat will rarely see you on their radar. better yet go into pugs and enjoy flanking the few who set up lrm boats.
