I actually like it, a mech should NOT be able to walk on a loose pile of snow and mud. although if you try and come down it you should slide or fall. the one way nature is a bit odd.

Yep, I noticed that first match I played on it. How does something like that slip past PGI when it took months just to get that map out & it's the same map we already had except painted white & that avalanche. Those are the only differences & it still somehow manages to get dropped like that. That's the kind of thing that makes me wonder if every teeny little new thing that gets introduced is never going to work right until weeks or manths later after they let players find it. Is there going to be a point in the future when a new piece of content just works right from the start? This wasn't even new & it still didn't work right.

Well OK, the pile of "snow" was new, the map isn't.

I've also noticed it looks like theres a "base" painted on the ground over in an area by the water on the ground. I didn't notice where on the grid, I was on the run from something at the time.

Well a walking tank should be able to climb things a rolling one couldn't, otherwise there's not much benefit to using a mech in the first place. Either way, I should be able to JJ up that slope & I can't 'cuz there's an invisible boundary there.

It's not a bug per se. We have a clipping plane to prevent players from walking up the slope. The problem is, there's a slope right next to it, that is seemingly steeper that you CAN walk up. I've asked the designers to address this.

So this means that tower hill will be becoming off limits.

There are multiple sections on some maps that are steeper that you can climb up - like the edges of the hills on River City by the bridge in D4/D5, along with parts of the Cauldera in Caustic.

if they adjust the snow pile to be steeper like a huge avalanche why not have part ( or parts ) of a destroyed mech from the avalanche sticking out a little. :)

Well then, good time for me to load up on Jump Jet equipped mechs.
Or they will take off that wall, and just make it a slope.

That steeper slope is on both regular, and snow versions of forest colony.

It's amazing how many people never think of using the tunnel to flank that invisible wall.

yeah, it's only a very shallow invisible wall. anyway, if you dont have a jumpjet just use the much steeper slope next to it :)

Workaround:

Go around.

New workaround in the works.. Add a no entry sign infront of the snow pile?
