I'm not much of an artist, so I figured I'd see if anybody out here has anything on one of my favorite 'Mechs:

The TR1-Wraith

I have always loved what this mech stands for: Fast/agile/decent punch in a Medium. Plus...I kinda think it looks awesome...

So does anybody have any art they've done of it or would be willing to give a shot at? Like a potential re-design of how they think they'd see it done in the MWO universe? If you do I'd greatly appreciate it. Or links to work you've seen would be great too!

there's still something that doesn't do it for me with the design.. like the OG art makes the mech look like an action figure, and that fan art i found feels a little too gundam-ish. I think if I were to do a redesign, i'd make the mech look more like a practical vehicle, and less like an anthropomorphic battle suit.

If you read about it on Sarna, you'll come to know that everyone had doubts over the design.

that's more like doubts over the effectiveness of the load-out and outfitting.. and not the physical appearance of the mech..

I look at the 'Mech as a Medium Scout 'Mech. For a 55 ton 'Mech, it doesn't pack a ton of fire power. But the fact that it's INCREDIBLY fast, with a huge jump range and no ammo dependancies means it can range far and have no worries about ammo. As a command 'Mech for a Scout Lance I think the Wraith is loaded out perfectly.

The hit-and-run potential to get in on a 'Mech's rear armor, blast it and fade away to keep doing that is what attracts me. As for looks, it's the funkyness that does it for me. I love the hood look.

The Wraith is one of those all-time great looking 'Mechs. Especially in gun-metal blue.

I really enjoyed his artwork in that thread, thank you! I loved how he just re-designed the 'Unseens'. Seems to me like a legit way around the whole stupidness with that baloney.

I'm really hoping at some point PGI will add the Wraith to MWO. I think it'd be a great addition.

Are you sure? I thought it is a mech from 3055.
