This was the original online Battletech based off the 1st Mechwarrior game by Activision. I was the same handle over there (Col.). CO of the 13th Marik Millita and then of the ComGuards <CG> Merc Unit. Anybody else around who played there back in the early 90's?

I Only played When it was Solaris;) and for a short while when it went to game storm. And I have always had the same handle as well!

Your tellin me BlackWidow. Back in the day when Dial-up services were charge PER HOUR of useage. What was it, $9.99 an hour? And you would have to pull all nighters to make a good push into another houses territory.......expensive CC bills at the end of the month.

GEnie taught me to hate credit cards, but it also gave me MBPT and Gemstone III.

I weigh that in favor of the games. I wouldn't be here otherwise!

I remember I was so excited when I upgraded from a 33.6 baud modem to a 56. I was the king then :-)

I first played MPBT:Solaris in 1994 on AOL.....this is before GS and before there were "rooms" within the different arenas.

Handle has been LIGHTNIN in every game since, but apparently someone else wanted here it here so I had to add the "1" in there.

Gosh its been a while since i played MPBT back in '96 '97. Used to be the best Stalker driver back then, well for few months anyways. Did see the one from Genie but only few days. Phone bill was way out of whack back then. Later played Solaris: 3050 that EA had for beta but EA scrapped it... (insert your own vulgar language).

Some may remember me as Col.Ender <TWB> (Davion) ...[i just skip the rest of the title]. Not sure if any of the old TWB will be around but if this game is the way i think it will be. I will uninstall every game i have and dedicate my time on MWO.

I wonder if i know where the start button is for my rusty old Javalin

Man so few of us remain from the GEnie days. That was soooooo fun even if it was the EGA Mechwarrior. I remeber the Big Merc Units were the ComGuards (CG), The ****** Clans (TBC) the Minnisota Tribe (MT) and the Gunslingers. Simple but fun days!

Anyone seen any Bloodly Clan on here at all?
Remember seeing them a couple years back at Gencon when we ran the pods there.
Now that was a fun weekend.

The Bloodly Clans are still alive and well. We are still bringing reality to the Infidels of the Universe.

Ah, the good old days of speed drops, midnight operations against other houses, and supply line management. It's great to see folks from that great game reappear here.

I joined up with the ComGuards on MPBT Solaris. I remember playing lots rounds with Bunny Hunter, Hairball, Blacknight, Warlock and others. Although, it's been enough years since then that my memories are pretty fuzzy =).
