The latest patch (yesterday) changed LRM arcs substantially - something that was not noted in the patch notes. Can you confirm if this was a bug, or if this is intended LRM behavior? If it is intended, what is the counter supposed to be? Cover - even tall buildings or cliffs - is no longer effective in stopping incoming missiles as they simply fly over and then straight down on top of mechs.

Bug. Got past our process, a failure. That is why Open Beta is so important we need to perfect our processes with a large player base. This should be hot fixed very soon.

Why would they be watching and reading comments about MWO in other websites but not reading and answering questions here?

Seems they would much rather hang somewhere else and ignore the tar and feathers crowd here.
Can't say as I blame them, but it isn't good for the game.

As mentioned a single stickied post saying "Ooops, this slipped by us" would have made all the difference in the world.
Yet they continually leave important things out of patch notes.

Give us some real transparency, talk to us, work with us, and most of us will hang up the pitchfork's and torches.
Ignore us at your peril.

Well spoken sir.

Because why would they waste their time? All the people who constantly complain of the forums are just an overly negative minority. If people didn't freak out everytime they changed socks they would probably be more inclined to approach us here. I know for a fact that they devs LOVE positive posts. Keep that in mind as this thread is an example of why they don't enjoy posting here.

EDIT: They also DO talk to us here. Just last week Ekman did an impromtu AMA in the CB forum. They can't do them all the time, because, you know, THEY'RE MAKING A FREAKING VIDEO GAME!

Well as of now this doesn't work, since open beta launch there are only 6k new people registered on the forums and also therefor for the game.

Probably because he was scheduled for an interview on that site at a specific time and he doesn't live on these forums.

Frankly it wouldn't be healthy to read the forums all the time. It's why most companies just hire 1 person to do it full time so they can act as a filter between what can be a very negative, abusive medium and the developers/managers of the game.

They really need to hire a good community manager, or if they have one, better communicate with them on major game issues.

this should speak VOLUMES to not only remaining founders but new players who are considering buying . . . I am personally considering the current and future value of my founders pack. . . PGI should SERIOUSLY consider what they have delivered versus what was promised . . . because this is FAR from where we were lead to believe we'd be by now . . . and to be completely honest its absolutely an a$$ move to ask me to pony up and start my premium / founders time & benefits on a game that is not only ignored by the creators but talking HUGE steps backwards.

If they just want to get their bellies rubbed maybe they shouldn't be game developers. You got to take the good with the bad.

I haven't heard any questions asked on this forum.

Just "This is OP and will kill the game" or "Fix this or I ragequit" QQ threads.

They also don't have the time to waste reading poorly worded QQ posts. Just saying. Game design is a very intense work life with little free time. I for one am glad they are spending time making our game instead of pandering to a vocal (and terribly whiny) minority.

I think the Devs get tired of reading all the nubber junk posts on these forums and just go somewhere else for a break, I know I do. ;)

hey guess what . . . had they taken thirty seconds pinned and highlighted "LRM BUG - HOTFIX INCOMING" as SOON as they found out about it, which apparently was BEFORE the patch . . . they could of gone on ignoring the QQ / RageQuit / blahblah threads, but the bottom line is THEY are the games owners / controllers and relations people, its THEIR JOB to read it ALL no matter what and to COMMUNICATE with us and keep us up to date. Here recently it's been forum members finding crap via OTHER avenues, this is NOT communication, this is shuffle n spin politico crap used to bait new money in while fending off the tide of retreating ground support and it's CRAP!

One line is all they needed here.

"It's a bug, we'll be hotfixing it soon."

Would not have been difficult. Would have saved a lot of trouble.

You know what, it has zero to do with getting belly rubbed. It has to do with dealing with a lot of vocal people who all act a certain way because they're anonymous.

I mean seriously. They see the arc bug, talk internally, guy goes on a scheduled interview and answers a question about the LRM bug. But now because he didn't say it in the forums first there's going to be 10+ ********* threads about it?

Dealing with game forums is a huge timesink.

They have been telling them about the debacle for 24 hrs....
Giving someone information after testing game, does not = asking questions (when you are telling them the answer)

They didn't want to admit here that their internal testing process is awful, and they managed to miss another game breaking bug.
