Can i shoot down missiles? if not why not! Give lasers a buff and a small use for machineguns/flamer other than noise and active counter to lrm spam

Yes, you buy and equip AMS.

As for "shooting down missiles with lasers". No.

Until they implement the Laser Anti Missile System: an ammo-free AMS.
