Hello hello my name is Rogbull and I'm here to present you video guides of trial mechs in rotation that I feel are worth playing.

My videos contain information that might be new to any rookie but isn't TOO basic
+ I describe how I feel they should be played.

I enjoyed the reaction I got from the last batch and so I'm trying to make this a regular thing and perhaps make more guides on different matters.

I've finished the videos for the trial mechs that are worth playing this week. You can find the atlas on the second post due to the video limit.

Cicada-3M:

Which teaches you to scout safely and unjam the Ultra AC/5

Catapult-C1

Which teaches you how to use the LRM's and talks about Jump Jets. Also how not to pronounce the word "Sadly".
I made a small mistake in the video, I claimed the LRM only has 300 missiles, it's 360. But I'm sure you'll see that in game. The advice around the usage still counts.

I apoligise for making a second thread around it for this weeks batch but I felt the name of last weeks didn't get the msg across well enough. I intend to update this thread every time new trials show up.

Hope this helps!

Right, I have to admit this took a few hours longer than I expected, but I just couldn't capture any decent brawling footage.

At any rate I updated the Atlas-K into this thread.

I'd hope so. Which is why I'm bumping these to a visable place on the forum.

Do you plan on updating with more videos as different trial mechs enter rotation?

Also, thanks for doing something like this, Im sure it'll be a great help to new players.

That's the plan, I did the ones I thought were good from last week as well. The plan is to always orient them towards the newest wave of players, so they might start to sound repetetive in a couple of patches.

Though I have no clue what they have planned with trial mechs, since I read they're going to do some changes. But for as long as they're in the current format I'm here to serve.

Thanks for these guides. I'm sharing them with my friends who are starting the game in trials. :P

Edit:

I just finished watching the Catapult video. It might have been nice if you included the Hover Turn where you briefly use the jump jets to make quick turns. It lets you track light mechs that are circling you a little better and also helps when moving through tight areas. Not that important though since I don't see a lot of people using it. :excl:

THIS IS SPECTACULAR. Also, great job keeping them short and concise! Anything over 4 minutes and my eyes tend to glaze over.

Thank you all for the compliments, really makes it worth it. And with that I don't think I should be ashamed of bumping the thread. It's not just for my ego but also that newbies can actuelly find the videos.
