Me being completely new to the multiplayer MW area, i've come across many words and acronyms that I have NO IDEA what they mean.
I was hoping an experienced player wouldnt mind typing up a walkthrough of basic mech stuff.
Things such as:

weapons
armor
weight
mech classes
egines
stratagy for bringing down an enemy mech.

All help would be awesome. I'm lookin forward to the open beta. Hope all us true beta testers can get in. ( not just to play)

Best strategy for bringing a mech down is to shoot it from behind - its where the armour is weakest. Do not rush in - follow your team mates. Above all don't stop moving and try not to go in a straight line - be unpredictable.
Don't worry about getting killed a lot at first - it will happen to all of us as it's a new game to everyone. Just try to have fun.

Thats the battletech wiki. You will find every mech, vehicle, dropship,starfighter,weapon,technology... you get the point.
