Here's a suggestion for Artemis.. rather than change the grouping of missiles... change have artemis change the arc:

1) the new arc projection is excellent and can lead to extra hits (the point of artemis)
2) the old arc project was still very good
3) this is a good balance between the use of artemis and not using artemis and let's players decide if they need artemis rather than making artemis "mandatory"

This is a good suggestion imo, but Artemis should still provide some grouping benefit as well, but it shouldn't be nearly as tight as it is now, and might be best if only applied while the firing mech has LOS (or if a mech that is providing the target info has Artemis as well).

The high firing arc is a glitch/bug, confirmed today in the interview on Kotaku.com .

I understand where you're coming from regarding the arc, but even without artemis helping group the missles, the old (high) arc was TOO powerful when implimented during earlier closed beta testing. I remember being in my Atlas and never seeing the front line because of the verticle dropping missles on my head. If all the LRMs in a 20 rack hit, that's 40 points of damage, twice that of an AC 20 that takes twice as much weight and slots to carry and you actually have to aim it to hit. It's really not fair the way it is.

I have 65k experience on my atlas BEYOND mastering it, and I promised myself not to spend MC unless totally necessary. I would rather be putting my time into my centurions, but there is no place for brawlers AT ALL in the current game, other than the tunnels, I guess.
When they make the missles arc the way they did a couple days ago, we'll be more able to see how artemis works. The missle reloads are also really expensive. If I lose my atlas after firing my LRM's, I don't make a dime on the match, even if we won, from repairs and rearm - and that's with the premium bonus. When the premium bonus goes away, artemis is going to really hit people in in the C-billfold.

An example: My SRM 6's have artemis, but I can't get close enough to test them out, because to do so is to weather a storm of LRMs just to get to my target.
