I'm as excited about the return of MW as much as anyone else here and MWO sounds spectacular. However, I can't play online because of a stupid satellite ISP called HughesNet and no land-line providers provide service in my area. I'm sure I'm not the only MechWarrior in this boat.

MW going online is the perfect evolution of the franchise, however, I would like an offline portion as well. Something that ties into the online portion but isn't just a trainer for it. I would like a story, maybe something about the Succession Wars since the online portion is set right before the return of the Clans? Playing the 1st Succession War and seeing General Kerensky leave the Inner Sphere would be epic for any fan of the MW universe!

Would I be the only one who would like an offline game as well?

Nope, I'm 100% with you. I want to see a great SP campaign for this game. Maybe set in the succession wars since we never see anything about that beyond the novels.

But I'd give them sometime to make a great game that they want to make, and a SP campaign can be added easily later. I'm gonna hold out hope for it.

Sorry for your predicament. MWO is 100% online, doubt they will ever make an offline version. If you look around you might can find the different Mechwarrior games series for sale. Or get the table top Battletech sets.

Here is one vote for an online only game. They shouldnt spend effort on a single player campaign. I would hope that can be a different title, but we will see.
