you'll probably be better off with 2 lrm 10's, or 2 lrm 5's and lots of ammo.

or a 15 and a 10, same weight as 20+5, reloads faster.

Maybe a LRM15 with 2 medlasers as backup ?
Maybe, if possible, get artemis and a LRM10 to boost efficiency of LRM´s ?

Options, options ... sooooo many options.

Bad is only if it does not fit your playing style ;)

Well, otherwise good ideas, but I need to consider that my NARC-tube only shoots one missile at a time. So with LRM20 in the SRM6-slot and LRM5 in the NARC-tube, I need 4-5 volleys per reload to shoot my missiles.

I've been running LRM20 + Artemis and a medium laser since patch in my Ravens and it works out really well.

Well, I tried LRM20 and 2 med lasers first. Could've gotten Artemis with that too. But then I decided having 5 less missiles shooting at your enemies than a stock Cat would be so much more ballsy! And I can't downgrade engine, need to go fast so I can shoot them in the back ;)

Had this match in Caustic Valley with some poor Atlas sitting on their side of the caldera and I unloaded on his back for a minute or two and he never even noticed.

I've been 2nd in damage done when there have been 3 LRM boats on our side and same amount on enemy team.

The ability to be able to shoot your LRMS at guys who cant move behind cover is an advantage of a fast light with LRM's. I'm glad some are using it.

Doesn't it fire off a steady stream of 1 missile at a time, due to it's lack of missile tubes, on one of the variants? How long does it take fire off all 20 missiles from an LRM20 on that baby?

Based on my hunchback experience, drop the 20s in favor of the 15s. LRM5 and 10 may be worth it if you like Artemis.
LRM 15 is much more economical on the ammo and in practice it packs a similar punch to the 20s - especially on medium and light targets it seems that some of the missiles are wasted. These 3 tons are better spend elsewhere.

Use a 15 in the torso and a 10 in the arm. The arm only has 2 holes so the lrms stream out 2 at a time and look like your firing alot more and annoy the hell out of people. It worked better when the cockpit shake was in but good on ammo too.
Add 2 MLs for backup and your a mobile support platform that can flank, spot and rain down pain.
One of my favorites..

Great call, was just gonna recommend that. I never found a Raven I enjoyed other than this config.

Yes, because you're firing through 6 tubes it will come out as 6, then 6, then 6 and finally 2. If you used an LRM15 it'd come out as 6, then 6, then 3 and it would recycle quicker for your next shot. LRM5 would be more optimal as it would recycle quickest and fire in a single burst.

But then if you're going to put LRM5 in the 2 tube slot then you're going to fire in 3 salvos anyway so LRM5 + LRM15 is clearly optimal.

cool necro, to add input to any new people reading, I would stick with just a lrm10 then add backup medium lasers and ammo/tag/arti as needed but keep the speed as fast as possible, a slow raven is a dead raven. a year ago going 80-90kph as a raven was fine but with all the new fast mediums and 12v12 you want speed.

lol... So funny to put a 20 in that narc tube. I think I took that out once someone accused me of Chain firing, to which I replied "No man Im holding down the Alpha button!" Then a mech with AMS spoiled my fun....

Is it bad? Yes! But that's why you did it, right? If it's fun for you, go for it:)

Wait, is it a 2-tube slot or a 1-tube slot? I thought the NARC tube on the 3L was a 1-tube slot.
