What do you think the of the map sizes and what do you think they should be.

A few things I'd like to see included are: complete use of every grid from A1 to T20, and a city map that is as dense as the one seen in the original trailer.

The current maps are seriously small.

Hope the promised desert map will deliver.

For me the number of Maps would be more of interest than the size. And more tactical options on them :)

Well with my vote being on the 2x+ I will point out that they should<could> open the current maps to the full 10x10 grid size and have random placed Bases... this added with at least 1 additional game mode would be a nice start.

ya know im a wierd person but i would like them to make a 40 vs 40 map just for ***** and giegles

like all our current maps blended together with only a small hill seperating them.

think current ones are ok for 4v4, 8v8 and some 12v12. but i want to see battalion battles 36v36 :) epic battles

Not so sure map size is the problem .. mech speed versus terrain is the issue .. IE if mechs weren't so fast compared to the terrain we wouldn't have half the issues we currently have

Maps would feel bigger ... lights would be killable ... and PPCs and AC10s would be more accurate

I also would like to have bigger maps, but I fear, that speed capping is going to dominate bigger maps.

TBH I dont like capping at all - somekind like seek and destoy mode would lead to more fighting: That means find the enemy and do as much damage to them in a short ammount of time. Reduce game time to 8 minutes and whoever kills more mechs or if same amount of mechs were killed whoever did more damage wins.
Or something like whoever has most of the grid under his control wins.

If you really have to stick to capping, reduce capping speed and make it eventually dependant on mech size. The bigger the mech, the faster the capping speed. Also firing at capping mechs should stop their capping.

I completly disagree. Make it easier makes nothing better.

Also: PPC´s and AC´s are accurate (besides the AC/arm-bug). I Usually dont say this, and i hope you dont see this as an insult (its not meant this way), but i think you should improve your aiming. Practice shooting while driving a scout or fast medium. It will help you a lot.

Sign me up for bigger maps! they will spawn different types of builds on heavier mechs because speed suddenly is a requirement to be at the frontline and not 2 miles behind it :)

It depends on game mode.
For the current assault mode the maps are fine.
For a team deathmatch the maps can be much larger.

Mechs were already crippled in top-end speeds because the netcode couldn't hack it; they're supposed to be going even faster than current. I doubt speeds are going down further any time soon.

I dont wana spoil anything,

did anyone of you EVER notice a dev actually reading our community-self-made-polls? And reacting to one in the like of "oh, thank you community for telling us what you want"?

Bigger maps and stuff have been asked back in august/september in closed Beta, with no real reaction that I know of. If anyone has one, please show me.

It just feels like the community keeps itself happy at the moment while eating what ever falls under the devs table sometimes. Talking about stuff that might or might not make it into the game, and even if its coming - there is no timeframe what so ever.
