For those people who usually have a group of players of 8 or more people, a group of us on the EU server found a great way to still game together. As has been mentioned before in another topic, all we do is create two or three 4 man groups in a single dropship then launch simultaneously. We did not worry about configuring our mech to a specific drop allowance, we simply took what we wanted to play.
Before the hotfix we managed about 4 out of 5 drops together, including those where we played against each other, which we the most fun!
After the patch the probability dropped considerably that we would team up. In most cases we were fighting against the other group in our dropship. The great advantage to this is not only can you test our skills against your friends, but you are assured a damned good fight, as they want to crush you as much as you do them.
We had great fun all day, give it a try, you may find the 4 man experiment isn't so bad after all.
And to the people who got offended when we announced we were an 8 man premade, it was simply a warning to play smart and use teamwork, we did not mean to suggest we were better players.
