For those who don't want it in:
1. They shouldn't be in because they ruin the 'hardcore sim' aspect.
2. They shouldn't be in because they ruin the dev's carefully tweaked balancing
3. They shouldn't be in because it attracts an undesirable crowd

Those who want it in all agree it should not be a primary option and believe in one or more of the following:
4. They should be in as a 'fun' option with limited/no progression to help blow off steam
5. They should be in as an 'easy' mode to help acclimate players to the full game
6. They should be in to help the game acquire a larger playerbase.




After all that, it's less funny than when I wrote it in my head. Oh well.

Yes, aimbots all around, no skill needed, just press start and all the enemy mechs fall over with an instant kill shot to the head to the pilot and you get a 72-0 kill to death ratio and your overall leaderboard rankings skyrocket for the awesome skill you displayed by button mashing the trigger.

I'm guess he means an integral aim-bot like in World of Tanks (which is generally not used, except when circle strafing or shooting at stationary targets at long range).
