Cannot Paste Password In Launcher

I use a password manager to store and generate secure passwords, however the MWO Launcher won't let me paste my password in.

Is this a known issue? Is there any fix? Or do I just have to change my password to something far less secure? I am unhappy about spending real money on my account if I am forced to use an insecure password so I would greatly prefer an alternative.

Thanks in advance if anyone has any useful suggestions!

I'm having the same issue. It's extremely annoying.

My password manager also has an "auto-type" feature that automatically keys the password instead of using copy-paste. It keys in each character of the username, a tab to advance to the next field, each character of the password, and then enter key. However, this feature is also not working in the launcher. It's like the launcher is only capable of receiving input from the physical keyboard, in addition to not allowing copy-paste.

Agreed. I use KeePass to store all my passwords as well.

I haven't for this game (yet) but could easily forsee it in the future. Please implement this at your earliest convenience.

From what I can tell, this feature has been requested for months and is mostly ignored by the developers. I've even seen threads where the person requesting copy/paste functionality is mocked for whatever reason.

It boggles the mind. I also use KeePass and this is literally the only game I own that does not support password pasting. I've had to significantly degrade the complexity of my password just so I can log in without having to transcribe a random 20 digit password each time.

Yeah, this is a pretty glaring oversight for people actually concerned about security. They need to get two-factor authentication implemented ASAP as well.

I would appreciate some changes in this as well. A password save option for a better password and a 2 factor auth.

Same here, I use KeePass to generate and store 20+ character passwords, not being able to paste a password on login screen is a major oversight!

Please, fix this.

Actually this isn't "just" the user / password input field, its all input fields in the application ("Add friend field","Invite friend" field). Also the Backspace key behaves oddly for me - it always deletes 3-4 characters instead of just one.

I just started playing, and I can't believe this hasn't been addressed. Please...give us the ability to paste the password into the login dialog!

Oh Noes! PGI should focus their attention on this very major problem. I shall be demanding a refund on my MC unless this intolerable situation is resolved soon.

You know that using a password manager and/or copy paste your password actually lower the security since you add more mean to access that password...

Just note your password on a sheet of paper you'll know it by heart in 3/4connection, 25/30 characters is not that hard to remember.
