NO, in previous games it was used to exploit. Its dumb too. You cant see from outside your own body, why should the pilot?

You didn't think very hard for problems then. It provides a larger field of view and allows seeing over and around hills without putting your mech in danger. It would flat out make first person pointless.

Yes, for 3 reasons:

A. It will let me see my mechs in all their CryEngine 3 glory.
II. The camera can be positioned in such a way that using it offers no real advantage.
3. It will make all the supernerds who ragequit MW4 flood these forums with their tears.

The only 3rd person cam that should be allowed in this game is the death cam IMO. However I would like to see a first person view of it as my mech went down into the dirt, cockpit shattering, metal bending.

No, and if anyone tells you that you can get it by hitting ALT-F4, DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM.

The only place I would allow third person is when spectating and then only if you could be sure they were no longer in communication with their still living teammates (or they aren't involved in the match anyway).

You can have third person when we can alt f4 people without them losing there temper about a stompy robot game.

Am I fashionably late with obligatory "hold alt and hit f3 through f5 for 3rd person view"? :)

Yeah that would actually be nice, to have a delayed spectator mode, and be able to switch from mech to mech or team to team, even an overhead shot of the map.

*gets overhead shot*
*Press push to talk*
"Hey guys, we got an Atlas in cave, a scout in ravine. Seems they are rallying at Foxtrot 4 before the ridge with LRMs."

Hence the "Delay" Just like LOL spectator mode lags a few minutes behind actual gameplay :)
