Wasn't this answered in a dev post about camo spec changes, so you could see what it looked like from all angles?

You're confusing people by calling it spinning, the object is stationary and you are rotating the camera around said object.

You want the ability to orbit the camera with the mouse, around mechs in the mechlab. I believe this feature is possible when they implement the camo pattern tool. Although I could be mistaken.

You mean spinning in the mech bay or spinning in 3rd person mode in battle? One I like but not the other. If its 3rd person battle spinning I disagree and think maybe just a rear view camera you can toggle to see a small area.

My money is on the guy equipped with the ban hammer +20 but if your alpha strike is fast enough you may cause him to overheat, but I think he has triple strength myomer.

A spin counter must be implemented as well.

I'm definitely old.

I sat there thinking, "Where would you find a wheel big enough, and the resulting yarn would be thinker than construction grade steel cable..."

Then I went, "No. That's silly. Well, a mech break dancing? 360 degree torso twist? Isn't that a Summoner only deal..?"

I'm working on 3 hours of sleep, so, bleh.

Anyway, it'd have been nice, but as previously posted, it's coming. I just wish I had a better way of getting SS' of my mechs to put up as desktop backgrounds.

Good because you know what happened to Jita when CCP removed this. We'll burn this mother down.

Just in the mech bay, spin and zoom on the models.

With 3rd person on the horizon mech spinning is just the logical next step so I can immediatly kill that annoyance of a light mech that thought it would be smart to attack me from behind.

So:

+1

An idea I put forth during CB was to have a sort of 'portrait mode' in the mech lab. You could pick from various backgrounds for a still picture with your selected mech standing in the middle of it, with the picture taken from whatever angle you desired.. If you had auto-repair turned off and had suffered battle damage, you could have that reflected in the portrait. The idea was well received by other players - don't know if the Devs ever read it though.
