I love Mechwarrior, and I hate to be that guy, but I just can't play this game anymore. CTD, memory allocation errors, hard locks, lag when I look at the center of the map, lag when I look at another mech. Half the time when I drop twice in a row it crashes, and half the time... I can't even drop once because it crashes anyway. It only seems to have gotten worse as time goes on.

My KDR just fell below 1.0 because the game is such a mess.

Pre-OB it was over 3.0. Right now I am mad. Mad enough to ragequit.

Yes, I know, beta is beta, and this game used to be fun, a few patches ago. So I will check back next patch. Or maybe I will just wait until after beta is over. If the game is ready by then I'm sure I will forget all about this horrible OB mess. Maybe not tho, because there is the whole p2w power curve thing where I will be fighting against vets with custom upgraded mechs, full skill tree unlocks, and months of c-bills saved up, and I will still be in a trial mech.

So I might just skip the crushing disappointment this game is and just chalk MWO up as a failure like MW4, or anything in the BTU after 3063.

In the meantime, I will be playing Planetside 2.

I don't have any problem playing the game. If you've not put in a ticket or tried to troubleshoot it then I doubt this will be the last game you give up on.

xhrit... hate to see anyone leave, especially a player that has been here as long as you have.

My suggestion is to take a "short" break for the time being... don't know if/or how long you where in Closed Beta but still... take a break and relax... play something else for a bit... but... come back and check on things... don't quit altogether.

Friend of mine went from being able to run the game... to total slideshow and now with the newest updates back to being able to play again... always a good thing...

So again, give the Devs time to tweak here, fix there and get MW:O up and running like we all want them to...

Hmm my KD was around 2 in CB, now over 4, so i think its all fixed... and we have some nonfoundes with 3 or more custom fitted mechs, so i think the game is not the problem. *hust*

I am going to go out on a limb here and say maybe it is not the game. All you issues seem to be computer related to me. I drop with a bunch of different people and we may get a random crash once in awhile, but not enough to affect the game. Just going to say maybe you should update your video drivers or something first before blaming the game. Sounds more like your computer to me.

i started 2 days ago and just got up to 1.12 from .83 although i do learn the ins and outs of games pretty quickly. also i <3 jenners

But the question may be, does your k/d matter in this game? Is it your win/loss stat that matters more?

I'm just now getting back into it. Currently have 7 of the 30 patches complete. I had actually quite enjoyed the game before, but life started to get a little hectic and MWO started patching more frequently. It made more sense to just wait till after open beta. Now, I see threads like this that make me somewhat worried, and then I see others that say the game is fine. Given my previous good experience, I'll stay on the optimistic side of things.

my pc specs are lets just say crappy for this game but i have got it to run rather well most times i can keep fps in the green but had similar problem after last patch so i updated my nvidia drivers up to beta version wich supports MWO and im back to killing ppl maybe updated drivers can help

To those players who keep going even after an absolutely crappy k/d ratio (which, admit it, no one wants to die more times then they kill) I commend you.

Also, check the merc/house groups. Dropping in a premade is a hell of a lot more fun, even if you lose and die.
