I have two montitors at work and at home, so I play this game all the time on one of those setups.

What I've come to notice, is that while at work when playing the game (in fullscreen mode on the left monitor) if I mouse too often to the right side of the screen, my cursor will move onto the right monitor, and if I click to try and fire, it automatically minimizes the game and returns to the desktop. Now I can go back and reclick the game to maximize it again and continue to play, but needless to say this is very very annoying and more than once cost me my poor mech.

At the same time, when I play at home (also fullscreen, but on the right monitor), this does not happen at all.

If any additional information is needed (most certainly will, just don't know what to offer up), I will most definitely help out.

your prolly playing fullscreen windowed or windowed. i run a dual monitor setup, the only time I am able to click on in REGULAR full screen is after I die. during actual game play i am unable to move the cursor off the main monitor as long as i am in regular fullscreen mode.

I double checked before I posted, settings were "Fullscreen", not fullscreen windowed. Perhaps a video card issue?

I had this same issue...Try to match the game resolution to the screen resolution. It worked for me.

When running an application in "Fullscreen" mode, clicking over to another monitor will minimize the fullscreen program. Anyone using 2 or more monitors should rarely, if ever, be using fullscreen mode (unless they are using panoramic multi-screen views) as it prevents users from fluidly moving the cursor to the other screen(s).

Dual monitor users should always look for the option to run fullscreen programs in "Fullscreen Windowed" or "Borderless Windowed" modes and make sure the program is running the same resolution as the desktop. This will enable users to easily move the cursor between screens without having to minimize any programs.

i used to run into this problem also, then i started playing with the screen setups within windows, made the left screen the priority "main screen" and i also changed the playing in windowed mode to fullscreen and that seems to have solved my problems regarding this issue...

I have a triple monitor setup and have no issues with it.

Make sure you are running the game at the desktop resolution and it's running in full screen mode.

When I am playing MWO my mouse will stay within the MWO window so it never loses focus or minimizes.

i have 2 monitors and the MOST aggravating thing about this game is the wonkiness of the mouse bounding.

when i log into the game, my mouse will disappear and i cant click anywhere until i alt-tab

after that when i'm in the "game lobby / mechlab / pilot lab GUI" main screen, i can easily click to different windows, firefox, TS, whatever else im doing back and forth with the game

but then as soon as i drop into a match it get all wonky again, the mouse will be stuck within the bounds of the game window even though i might have been in a different window when the launch dropped so i have to alt tab. i run windowed mode because i dont like how long it takes to alt-tab when fullscreen is on. then after about 15 seconds in game, and sometimes randomly during combat, my mouse will reappear on my 2nd screen and my crosshairs will veer off to the left and get stuck there until i feverishly alt-tab several times to get my crosshairs back working in game.

i have become accustomed to alt-tabbing back and forth about 4-6 times at the beginning and end of EVERY match because that seems to prevent problems, but its qutie an annoyance.

i think the game just needs to be smoothed out a little, i mean this is not a game breaking issue for me, but every once in a while i just have to sit there and say... "WTF MWO you're so wierd"

this.... and the double backspace issue when i try to log-in to the game has never been fixed. not that big a deal, but kind of annoying man... if i make a mistake and hit backspace it deletes TWO characters instead of one... WTF!!!!

SIMPLE THINGS!!!!

I used to have this issue if I alt tabbed out and back in, after the last major patch and updated graphics drivers it's fixed.

I know I'm gonna get flamed for this, since it doesn't magically fix the problem without a little bit of work, but you could always DISCONNECT the 2nd monitor.

Inconvenient, I know, but it WILL 100% fix the problem. As to WHY the mouse would jump like that. . who knows, it could be a glitch in the matrix or a simple setting difference between the two. . it could be an I/O issue or a difference in chipset. . .

How would i get my complete PC readout, my second monitor is a HUD with everything from HDD monitors to temps/volts of pretty much everything onboard. running near the razors edge needs constant monitoring. and MWO so far has proven to be a chunky hefty load on ur PC, despite core speed and corecount. This will only get better but for now, its very volatile on my cores and heat.
