What Resolution Should I Use If I Have A 1Gig Video Card?

uses 1.4Gigs of video ram at 1920, I was wondering what would
be the optimal resolution for a 1GB card?
Also, using 2 cards in CrossFire will not double the memory, will it?
Thanks for any suggestions.

As someone else recently posted: 1GB does not make a video card.

No, crossfire does not double your video memory. If you have two 1 gb cards, each card will only use 1 gb of video memory. It will not allow both cards to use the memory of both cards.

1.4gb at 1080P sounds about right, but it also depends on the other settings for the game. No Crossfire does not double the memory.

Pretty much this, the VRAM will limit the bells and whistles at higher resolutions but it's important to know what card you actually have.

My gut feeling is that MWO will only come close to exceeding 1GB at very high settings, specifically very high texture settings, which are the big memory hog (AFAIK, shader work, shadows, etc are hard on the GPU, but not memory). This comes back to knowing what GPU you actually have. "1GB" is not a video card; we need to know the model. Insofar as I've seen, however, that's sufficient memory to run the game at 1080P on mediumish settings.

Also, disable crossfire for now. It is not yet officialy implemented and can cause reduced performance if not disabled.
