So they go through all the trouble of limiting teams to 4 man groups, suposedly to lessen the harshness of new player experience, but then turn around and say "nah if you wanna launch 2x 4 man groups simo to get in the same game together, thats cool too".
You know it seems to me, that your only punishing some teams who are playing as you intended, and even hurting their numbers if they care about them by alowing them to face 8 man premades on the other side and handicapping the 4 man team with 4 pugs.
This whole excercise was futile if thats the bottom line from pgi. Your just hurting the people who want to play with 8, but dont want to do something they find cheezy like trying to sinc drop with another team at the exact same time, and at the same time hurting pug players who then may still run into these groups who guaranteed will grind them to dust.
LITERALLY worst of both worlds, and more quality decision making pgi has come to show me over the course of the development of this game.
For the teams playing as the system was obviously intended to be, I feel the worst for. You are unnecessarily getting dumped on.

So wait, where do you see a developer saying exploiting the system now to get a 8 man is acceptable?

It is pretty silly that they simply ignore what is obviously an exploit, though at least even if they launch together there's no garuntee they won't be fighting against each other instead of on the same team. Either way, it's better now then it was (may degenerate again if the exploit becomes wide spread) and there's only a couple more weeks or so before they will be forced to fight other premades (assuming PGI doesn't botch it up).

Yeah that was the biggest farce I have ever seen. Not only are a bunch of shifty types trying to defend exploiting the system, but the PGI shrugs their shoulders and says "screw it, go ahead." Guess I should start finding exploits too huh?

Where does PGI say it is okay? Link?

Here is the link to the most pertinent post on this topic to my knowledge. Elucidation therein.

Edit: Oh, as an afterthought... The previous topic was closed. I think this was meant to suggest something, but don't quote me on that.

Since PGI isn't doing anything about these exploiters, I have been going on mwo teamspeak servers and getting names of people who are doing it and blocking them with the in game browser. Even when phase 2 is implemented, I don't want to play against someone willing to use this exploit. If they feel no remorse obviously breaking the system, then there is nothing stopping them from using other exploits or even possibly hacking the game itself.

Are we sure that this is working as intended? I was under the impression that 2 groups were not supposed to be able to drop on the same team.

Not an exploit - no need to start another Community Guideline breack thread on it.

All good, we talked about it internally and have no problem with players trying to sync their drops
