No more wipes or else torches and pitchforks will be raised.

I wouldn't mind getting a wipe that refunded all our MC/CB/XP. That way we don't lose anything, we just get to buy what we want after seeing the "finalized" form everything takes. It's entirely possible that a playstyle someone enjoys with a certain mech might become obsolete or impossible due to beta balancing.

I would mind a wipe, I've been grinding away and would not put the effort in if there was going to be another wipe...

A wipe that refunded all your money/xp/mc, you would lose nothing and be able to rebuy with the finalized game in mind.

Regardless, it isn't going to happen anyway. It would just be nice.

I think what the below is saying is that all the grinding for XP/Cbills you had earned would be given back to you so you wouldn't have to do all the work again. They'd just take your mechs away but you could buy new ones if for some reason your flavor of mech changed.

But why would they wipe and then refund everything back? I know they did that at CB, but don't seem its relevance at an OB.

And no more wipes please, unless the DB got so corrupted there's no more options.

As a courtesy to the players. With mechanics still being implemented or finalized and weapon balance in constant flux, not to mention new mechs being added and new tech as well it constantly changes the meta game. Someone may invest millions of CBills as well as xp or mc in one chassis set because they like the way it currently plays, only to find that that set up no longer works when the game is finalized. Thus a reset with complete refund would allow someone to look at the state of the game upon "Official Launch" and decide if they want to go with what they had, or if it were better to try something else.

Again, it's not going to happen. It would just be a kind move on PGI's part to save people from some potentially unnecessary grinding.

No. There will not be a data wipe.

Here is your proof:

Enjoy.

There is nothing in your link that says there will not be a reset. However the issue of a reset was stated in this as well as 2 other PGI posts.

Just because they say it won't happen, doesn't mean it wont happen...

A lot of the F2P games promise all sorts of things then go back on it

That being said, who says this will ever leave Open Beta

You do know the difference between a wipe and a time reset right? Cause it doesn't sound like you do and I have already posted the evidence as did you just now. It's a reset of premium time only.
