The Skye Rangers are one of the largest MechWarrior communites there is. We have more than 850 members all over the world. Besides 9 Mech Regiments we have also 3 affiliated Mercenary Units. The Kell Hounds, the Gray Death Legion and the Snord's Irregulars.

Find your way to the Skye Region. Join the Skye Rangers! It is the numbers that count!

Enlist here!

Do you guys take new players?

Only got into this game few days ago, seems like it's better with a team of you instead of lonewolf!

Regards,

Jay

My question is, since there are over 850 of us, how do we play together? I can't figure out how to friend anyone in the game only on the SR site. Or do you friend people here?

Easiest way to get playing with us is to access our TS server. Info is in the COMMS-HPG (members only) (skye rangers teamspeak 3 details post) section of the skye-rangers.net forums. When you get in head to a relaxed battle room or poke someone that is CCOM or higher to move you to one of the regiment rooms. Once we get a BCOM in the server or higher than they can assign member permissions to you.
Hope this helps

Huh? How does that help us play together? Not talk together. There are no options to pick a server only a game type then it's all random with who you play with. If I'm wrong, let me know :(

You can add friend to your MWO friends list while in the mech area, click social then click add friend thentype the name of the friend and it should add that person to your list and you can then go on to create a lance with 3 of your buddies up to 8 and soon 12. Hope that helps Machete.

Everyone else I am capt.Squishy I am RCOM of the 22nd regiment and we are looking for new cadets here at the SR and particularly the 22nd we are a training regiment as well as a full on Community warfare regiment we have several positions available and are looking for some good dedicated mechwarriors with the desire to pass on their knowledge and skills to make sure that house Steiner rules the Skye. If you are interested in being with the SR22nd when you apply do not worry about your regiment selection just Pm me that you are interested in the 22nd and I will take it from there. Brigade up! Squishy out.

A great deal of communities make, frankly, false claims; they promise community, that you'll be part of something special, and that you'll 'make a mark' in the MWO world. The Skye Rangers are not one of those communities.

Want to be the best of the best, and consistently dominate in organized 8-man (and soon 12-man) drops? We have a unit for that.

Want to have a casual group of gamers to hang out with who will give the mature gamer somewhere to relax without annoying weiros? We have a unit for that.

We have a unit for almost any kind of play, coordinated under the umbrella of a kind-hearted and involved group of officers. If you want a well-rounded gaming experience with the option to specialize in competitive, relaxed, or 'in-between' gaming, this is one community you won't want to miss.

Squishy has really stepped up and helped me out on this one. I plan on getting a mic and when ready, I hope to contribute to whatever regiment will have me. Also, sorry my Sounders beat your Whitecaps ;)

You want to drop with a group that works together. We need warriors to pilot our mechs! Simple solution? Join the Skye Rangers! You can find what you are looking for!

We are always in need of new pilots! I signed up with the SR basically on a whim, as a new pilot who was puggin it. It was an excellent decision. In the SR you will drop with experienced pilots who will sharpen your skills, or for a veteran, you will find a group that takes teamwork and discipline under fire seriously. Join up and you wont regret it.

I've been looking for a group to play with but being deployed to Afghanistan limits most of my options. I do not have access to TS (or any other coms program) at the moment but would be interested in joining.

Usually available to play between 9pm - 1am EST.

Will submit an application now. Fairly new at the game (but played Battletech when it was popular back in the day). Have a good grasp of operations but no desire to do more than provide firepower support. Currently pilot a modified Awesome, 3 ER PPC's and a top speed of 60kph with very little heat issues.

Thanks, looking forward to hearing back from my recruiter!

edit: used the recruitment form at the link provided in this thread and after submitting got a "This module not available" message so I'm not sure if it went through or not.

R Razor I'll check and see if command got the application. We're honored to have any service man or woman in our ranks! If you get a chance, try submitting it again just to be sure.

Time wise, most of our regiments don't have requirements for play time. The Skye Province Militia is our "play when you can" regiment, and we drop with all the other regiments. So any one you pick, you'll be good to go.

As far as Teamspeak, I think we can work on ideas to work something out.

Thanks MrDoggss,

I'll try to send it again. I'm at the point where I don't even want to play the game anymore until I find a group that works together, it's frustrating to watch every Mech run and do his or her own thing while the enemy coordinates and you end up losing Assaults 8 - 1 or so.

I'll resubmit that form now and hope it goes through.

Got the same error message about the module not being available.
