Zephirus. Thank you.

For those who ask "Huge screens, or multiple monitors?" I say:

Multiple Huge Screens!

I recommend adding a heavy duty "roll bar" over the top. It would assist with entrance/egress while affording your upper body intermittent exersize.

Also, for maximum cheap oomph, you can't beat a subwoofer directly mounted to the back of your seat. Super rumble at bare minimum power. Added bonus for apartment dwellers, if the cone fires directly through a hole cut into the back of the seat, it can will blur your vision without disturbing the neighbors.

Thanks ! Though I actually like having multiple medium-sized screens, since the relatively low resolution (1600x900) contributes greatly to having very decent to damn good performance with mid-range GPUs, and with three of them you don't really notice the fact that they aren't hugemongus.

What I really want to do to facilitate the exit/egress issue is put the monitors on a pivoting setup with a couple of air springs (those things that go 'sssssss' when you open your car trunk). That way I'd just lift up to open the whole thing, and let them fall into place after I sit (with all the satisfying air spring 'sssss'ing about too).

The problem with this is, of course, making it work. Though I believe if I cannibalize my current setup I could do it pretty easily. I'm tired of building for a little while though and just want to enjoy the thing =P.

Definitely considering adding a transducer of some form at some point, but again, tired of building for now.

holy shazbot! (i know that's from tribes, but what does it MEAN?)

Robin of the TV show "Batman" was famous for overusing the phrase "Holy ____" as a running gag, where he would fill in the blank with a phrase that related to whatever was in front of them at the moment.

"Holy" is from many old expressions, where "Holy ______ (fill in expletive of choice)" was common.
"Holy _________(expletive of choice)" derived from "By all that's holy"
"By all that's holy" is a shortened version of "I swear by all that's holy"
Swearing by things in heaven is very old, and is considered either profane, or extremely serious, as in betting one's life or immortal soul

"Shazbot" is from the 80's TV show "Mork and Mindy" starring Robin Williams. It was a substitute for 'poop' but spelled with a starting "sh" and you can figure out the last 2 letters for yourself.

Putting the two together is a family forum friendly way of saying "Holy S***!" denoting surprise.

Does the Warthog Hotas have issues with playing MW4Mercs (if you still play it) or did you have to go through many hoops to make it work?

You'd need pedals as the warthog doesn't have a 'turn rotation' built in......

This is the second time this thread has genuinely impressed me. And the OP. YES YES YES! Ha, I'll probably be looking into copying/modifying your amazing work in the future, but only as long as multiple screen support (confirmed-ish on the last Dev Chat!) supports multiple angles. The 4x4 size is the cherry on top of the pure awesomeness you have created.

I've always wanted to do this. Maybe someday when I switch back from gaming laptop to gaming desktop (and no longer live in a small NYC apartment!)

And his back is to the wall!! As it should be, those pesky people annoying him cannot sneak up on him when listening to surround and startle him.

Honestly haven't been playing MW4 at all since I got it, but I'd imagine the issues abound, considering the device reads as two separate joysticks. I do have issues with X3, which can only read one joystick input at a time.

If you've got 4'x4' you've got the space ! If not, get creative, space is often more flexible than people give it credit for.

Actually it's a nice looking apartment bedroom. There are benefits to being old enough to have a well-paying job and still being young enough to not have a family.

Grew up reading Dune, left an impression on me. I can't have a desk facing away from the door... just gives me the *******.
