Unlocking achievements is a HUGE part of every bloody game I play now(it's annoying) but it appears to be a VERY successful method of keeping people playing.
How about introducing a range of 'Achievements' that can be unlocked by new players and will provide a once off C-bill bonus? The amount given per achievement doesn't have to be much and could be used to encourage new players to play in a manner conducive to teamwork and interaction.
First 50 targets spotted and locked for LRMs...
First Blood...
First win while using the Command interface to direct a battle...
First 50 Kill Assists...
Etc...
There is a huge range of possibilities here and all of them can activly encourage a new player to work with their team AND get them closer to that Golden Fleece, the first Mech.
Thoughts? Feedback? Negative Implications?

This over all a good idea the thread posted above me ^ is very close to yours. I feel that they both go hand in hand and would make the game much more friendly to new players and it would give us who are more experienced a good run for our money.
