I have recreated some stock load outs on other chassis
Centurion A - "Wolverine" AC5, SRM6, medium laser
Catapult K2 - "Rifleman". 2x LLas, 2x AC5

If I remember one phase in tabletop counts as 15 seconds (technically a game that takes hours to actually play is only a few minutes long.) But either way it's fire once every 15 seconds.

Hey guys, I am sure one reason I suck so bad at this game is the fact that I prefer to use "real-life" mech builds. I know it is not uncommon for pilots to modify their machines (like YLW), but in the novels I knew exactly what every mech was packing just by its name. It wasn't really until omni mechs, that there was a lot of "customization" (at least in the novels). Does anyone else feel "nostalgialistic" to play real "stock" model mechs in this game?
*high five*
I was the same way. Name any 'mech from the 3025-3050 era and I could name it's loadout off the top of my head.
I would like to see a mode that only allowed stock variants or minimal modifications.
Heck, even when I'm running my Founders Hunchback, it's practically stock with only the Small Laser stripped out and replaced by CASE.

lol no idea what that means.
TRO = Battletech Technical ReadOut, books listing 'Mechs, their loadouts, and variants along with alot of fluff for those who enjoy it.
L1 is Level 1 tech meaning base weapons and equipment such as single heatsinks, regular lasers, and regular autocannons. L2 would include things like double heatsinks, pulse lasers, ER weapons, and Ultra autocannons. I think even Gauss Rifles may be L2 weapons (I can't think of any 'mechs from the 3025 TRO that carry a Gauss Rifle).

Hope you like an average ten second wait between firing your weapons with single heat sinks.
With mechs designed around doubles it's going to be longer.
With single heat sinks and a stock build you're limited to TT's RoF as an average... though it's a lot easier to increase this average if you've got a ballistic and favor that more and your energy weapons less.
And if you've got a JM6-DG... go to town... the Gauss works just fine at 2.5x the fire rate.

question you do know that if you heat sink is destroyed your mech cools alot slower so protect the erea with the most sink!!!!
and ten seconds isnt that long just need teamates that take the heat for the time got to work in shifts playin target.
hard to do without voice coms :l

Id like to see an optional gamemode where each player starts the game in a random stock mech. Because I dont think a stock mech only gamemode would work very well if you let players choose which stock mechs they wanted to play, because everyone would just pick the same ones... the only way it would work is if it was random.
