Both are correct. The clans called it the Timberwolf and the IS called it the Madcat. All original clan mechs had clan and IS names.

Well, you can only go so far without access to the exact tech. Its not a bad facsimile and it was probably meant more as a morale booster to the troops. "Hey we finaly got us one of them madcatz, look!"
