Resolution too? Also, you have to manually tell the notebook to use the nvidia gpu, also install the latest driver.

Anyway, MWO is a major system hog at this time. My fps goes down to ~35 in big battles, and that's with an i5-750 quad on 4Ghz. It's not my gpu, it goes down to 25% load when these framedrops happen. A 2.4 Ghz dualcore will probably get you 10 fps in big battles, but at the start of the game you should be able to run slightly faster, 30 fps or something.

520m isn't helping either. I wouldn't have expected any more than 15-20fps on that hardware.

Having played it, I wouldn't have expect more than 10-15fps XD

Put 1024x768 resolution and FPS went up to 12-15, and I'm already using Nvidia's GPU and the latest drivers, but the FPS does not rise above 15 ..

Maybe you have any configs increased FPS?

Mate, your hardware is too old. You will only get better performance if they optimize the game later on or by upgrading your hardware.

It may not be just his system. There is, without question, some kind of memory leak or bad graphics handling, because every so often the game turns into a stuttering slide show and I have to shut MWO down and start it again. Once I restart the game, it's smooth as silk until it decides to randomly tank my fps again.

I'm running an AMD Athlon II x2 250, 4 GB Ram, Radeon HD 5700, 64bit Windows 7 system, and given how smoothly most matches run on it, the ones that turn into a slideshow aren't the hardware, especially since it's happened to me in every map at least once.

That's why I wrote something about "optimizing the game for users hardware". Thanks for reading me.

I have huge drops, mainly during combat, too.

I'm running an AMD FX-4170, 8GB 1600 MHz Ram and an AMD Radeon 7850 PCS+ on a 64bit Windows 7 system. During combat with more than just 2 mechs involved I have like around 20-25fps. Playing on Very High, although switching to everything Low doesn't change a thing. I still have drops and about the same fps.

That sounds like the 4fps bug. It's a mem leak somewhere that after a while, say within 2 hours, your fps drops to 4 if you look at the center of the map.

With an X4 3.2 and a 5830 I can barely get 30fps on any map on low. Since the last engine update it's been worse for me, it's playable, but only just about. On that laptop, with an entry level gpu, Well I wouldn't expect much personally.

Your 520m is well below minimum graphical requirements.
