As it stands right now, a jenner pilot with high packet loss is neigh invincible. Their already small target will be teleporting back and fourth between several locations. This doesn't affect them at all, since on their screen, their client knows where they are at, so they can run untrippable circles around everyone dealing out massive amounts of damage while being completely unhittable by everyone else.

Why not make high packet loss affect them as well? Instead of ruining the match for the 8 people on the other team, ruin it for that person by making their screen teleport around just as much as they are teleporting to everyone else.

The reason I say to penalize that person being that this is a classic exploit. Someone will have a packet dropping script on their computer that will drop a packet or two from time to time, causing their character to jump around, while remaining perfectly stable on their end. The only way I can see to deal with this, is to make them teleport just as much on their end.

think this is something devs need to look at very carefuly as can see people exploiting this to cheat, seen something similar quite a few times back when was playing wow, lets just say certain well known EU raiding guilds are known for using one pertic voice client to get everyone on a raid to heavily lag, while playing wow and using a second voice client for actual coms, mostly to shall we say change enrage timers from say 30 seconds to 3 mins as a example so high lag in mwo doing what your reporting, you can see the potential for abuse, think if your latency is above a certain amount maybe it should actualy prevent someone from launching into a match, also think devs/GMs need to keep track somehow of players latency in matches to keep a eye on things and yes I'm aware that oceanic side people are encountering high lag, which is why think if PGI does plan to do another region maybe consider a server west coast of the states or even one in singapore to serve the oceanic region (au, NZ, and far east etc) and give players the choice/option of whether they play on the canadian based one or the oceanic one subject to latency ie over 400ms they go onto the oceanic server regardless.
