Eyegrey, I'll assume you're a new pilot still running trial Mechs, which means you're even more limited to what you can do, but once you own your Mech (or Mech's - I have 12! :) ) you can...

Install heat sinks (choice of standard or double)
Change amour (choice of two standard or Ferro Fibrous)
Configure your Mech (probably millions of choices across the different chassis and loads more still to come)
As for a coolant flush I've only heard forum chatter about that never going to be available. You'd need one of the Dev's to confirm/deny that.

So you see you really don't need to be sad, just a little patient! ^_^

Coolant flush was invented by Microprose to make it easier....it was never in Battletech.

The closest we will get is the Coolant Pod, in 3058 I believe, makes all heatsinks work at 200% efficiency for a few seconds, then wrecks them, and if the pod takes a critical hit, it'll take half your mech with it...

also from memory MW4 was released before lots of people played/talked about it on the internet...
where as this game is still being developed.

MW4 was also set further ahead in the Mech timeline... (not 100% sure on this though)

I thought that the MW4 mechlab as horrible, they completely dumbed it down by removing internals altogether.

Correct the current year in the game is 3049, MW4 takes place during the Fed Com civil war (3062 to 3067):

Thanks for answers, i like MW4 wery much and just want MWO to be the best game of mechwarrior series) Coolant flush was invented by Microprose to make it easier....it was never in Battletech. - but this is good logics to do coolant flush on mechs.... in books Ialso cant see that thingbut its very good.

To be able to configure your Mech you first have to buy one. Otherwise you are borrowing someone else's ride, and nobody is going to let you change their ride.

In real life terms, PGI needs mosney to feed their families and keep the power on. So, either take the time to grind for a Mech, or pay some money ($15 will get you most Mechs).

Yeah, you can change how much armour a Mech carries, though every chassis has a max limit you can't exceed.
