When attempting to obtain a missile lock for SSRM's at close range while turning your legs but maintaining the "o" targeting indicator over your enemy using torso turning, the lock is almost impossible to accomplish. The indicator will get near locking, but the lock will constantly weaken until you stop turning your legs. It doesn't matter how excellent you are at moving your mouse to maintain the target, the lock will not turn solid until you stop turning your legs. I won't say it's impossible to obtain a lock while turning, but it definitely requires much more precise targeting than if walking in a straight line - as if the lock requires a head shot, not just a body shot.

It seems they narrowed the lock area for all missiles. You now have to keep the target dead center in your sights rather than just having it near the edge (inside of) the mech's lock-square.

this is a double whammy added to the fact that not all the SSRM will hit per battletech rules.
It's been listed quite often but SSRM will fire only when there is a lock. All SSRM will hit the target when they fire. Location to be randomly determined. This system will become more popular if the 75% free reload is eliminated.
