I bought a catapult A1 a while back, and I set up 6xSRM6s on it and went splatcatting. I managed to be pretty successful in that build (but then again, it's not that hard), but I want to do something more with those delicious 6 missile hardpoints. Anyone got other interesting builds I can try? And is boating streaks a good idea anymore? I've almost never seen a streak cat since ECM.

What Else Can I Do With My Catapult A1?

Just played a few rounds with my 6xLRM5+artemis A1. I know it sounds dumb, but it is the best thing ever.
XL300, 6 LRM5 packs, BAP, a few heatsinks, AMMO EVERYWHERE.
You can just constantly dump super tight groups of LRMs again and again. Most annoying build I run. Yes, you will be killed by ECM scouts, but by then you'll have earned some negative karma.

That LRM build is fun until you get into a higher bracket and play against a team blanketed by ECM.
Honestly, as it stands right now the A1 is a one trick pony, and that pony is fueled by SRMs.

I tried your build, Wrenchfarm, and it's certainly very fun... until the ECM gets you.
Anyone else got other A1 builds?

well there's basically 3 kinds of missiles
lrms
srms
streaks
so, you can either boat one type, or take a mix of a few
problem is, lrm's were always more about enemy incompetence than user competence. and between ecm and the a1's lack of tag, lrms even more worthless
streaks now spread a lot more, and again, with ecm, simply aren't viable as your primary armament
so basically there's srms.
oh, i suppose you could go 6x narc beacons

2 Streaks, 2 SRM6, and 2 LRMxx? That covers all your bases.

Interesting, you say? If you subscribe to the Wash school of thought on "interesting" (oh God, oh God, we're all going to die) you might like my troll A1 - 6 LRM15s
This is the build I was gonna recommend, mine is a little less realistic and more insane. The A-1 currently can fire the most LRMs in a single salvo (90), and nearly the most at all (100 is the highest).

There's nothing wrong with the A1 that a cooperative light with a TAG can't fix... it's a team machine.

Exactly, bonus points if you can get a friendly scout to carry both a TAG and a NARC for you (they should stack if you're not using Artemis). Single salvoing Atlases makes me giggle and squeal about as much as running around with a spider with a Gauss in the arm legging lights (that run away from me in a straight line and don't realize I have only 35 armor)
