It's in the left eye. Anyone who has played any atlas (except for the D-DC) can notice that (if he/she has 2 medium lasers) when 2 medium lasers are fired, from the cockpit's perspective, the right laser seems to come from the torso and the left laser is straight.
So... i think the cockpit's in the left eye, as boronho said xD

As a general rule of thumb, the larger the cockpit is, the more dead center you need to be for the headshot.


Atlases used to be the whole head, and were headshot by LRMs frequently in closed beta. Now, they are one of the most difficult.

Awesomes used to be able to be headshot from sharp angles and the top of the cockpit counted as the head. They were certainly the easiest to kill for a while. Now, you really have to be in their front arc and hit the glass, not just the sloped forehead.

Cataphracts used to be the whole front glass. That got hotfixed the day they were released, and now it is only the center pane of glass.

Catapults too. Now you need to hit closer to the center pane of glass, not just any part of it.

Everything else, just shoot it in the face.

please dont HS Atlases, and dont put XL inside it... i like to remove them the arms, the torso then finish it, and i i have time i leg it before (its a shame we dont get an annimation for legged ones)
