I want to see if anyone else is noticing them.
First:
I am walking foward, torso twisted to the right and I see projectiles fly past me on my right from the opposing team. I hear the "TING." sound (ac2 or 5) against my Mech, but no cockpit shake). I look at my paperdoll... No damage. Again, i hear *TINK* and see an explosion. As before, no damage.
I see the projectiles zoom past me on my left now, no tink sound and an obvious miss, but I get a cockpit shake and damage registers on my paper doll.
Now, this is the time to stop and think... I imagine what I would be seeing if I was instead the shooter shooting at myself off in the distance. He's obviously leading me on the 3rd shot, where as the first two shots hit directly but no damage was being registered. What I don't get is... Shouldn't the server be correcting that on MY side? I mean, I shouldn't be able to tell that he is leading me, that I can see that he has to shoot infront of me to hit me. That doesn't make sense. The first to shots should have hit me, right? Or do I have some wacky idea about how information is getting sent back and forth? Because the game is like it's putting 100 ms further ahead of even myself than I know I am. I thought it should be setting me back instead... Maybe I'm wrong. It's very confusing.
Anyways, just an observation because it seemed like the only one who would witness that they would have to lead is the shooter, and the first two shots he made should have sailed far away on my right, and the third shot should have obviously hit me (from my perspective, which did not happen. His first two shots hit me, his third was a miss. It was a pretty big difference)
Second:
When mechs are running full throttle and overheat and shut down, the game shows the mech stop instantly. You hammer them with everything you got to take advantage of the situation but no damage is dished out. But, when they power up, they teleport forward a significant amount and run away un-harmed.
I decided to give this a try in my hunchback. I made a very easy build to over heat, and was very fast. I ran into a bunch of enemies, got to 93 heat, waited a brief moment and then alpha striked to create a substantial amount of heat. What i saw was me rollerskating forward and slide past a mech, It was obvious that they were now shooting that the place that I over heated, and not at my actual mech's location. Because of the large amount of heat I generated and the long time it took to cool down, I essentially created the perfect distraction without getting a further scratch on me. When I powered up, I could tell that they saw me teleport, and I ran off behind some rocks.... how silly!
Anyone else notice these two things (apart from many other things) going on? I thought I'd just as to make sure before submitting a ticket.
