3-d dual gauss, XL 335, jump jets, 4ML. that's right, I'm 85kph mobile, high alpha, multiple weapon systems, and i will punch you right in the groin.

1-x: cataphract: laser boat. JJs 5 laser, RA LA LT RT CT?
2-x: cataphract: versatility. JJs 1 ballistic RT, 1 missile LA 3 laser RA RA LT?
3-d: Cataphract: big guns. JJs 2 ballistic, RA RT, 3 laser LA LA LT?
4-x: cataphract: dual gauss. 2 ballistic, RA LA, 2 laser RT LT? Slow!

1x has 5 energy, 1 ballistic
2x has 3 energy, 1 ballistic, 2 missile
3d has 4 energy, 2 ballistic
4x has 1 energy, 4 ballistic, 1 missile

3d is the only one with jumpjets

The Cataphract is a ballistic chassis which means most people will use XL with it because ballistic weapons take up a lot of tonnage. There's no other way around it.

Definitely getting 3D day one. It's such a versatile build and aside from better gauss convergence I see it as the most versatile, and one of the best long range builds over the K2 and awesomes. Once PPC's EMP is added I'm thinking 2 ER PPC + gauss or 2 PPC + gauss + mlas.

I've been having tons of fun in, and been pretty successful with, my phract that I kited out Marauder style. PPC in each arm, ML in each torso, with a good 'ole AC5 in the RT. 1 ton ammo, 16 DHS and endo, with almost maxed armor. Like, literally 2 points less than maxed. Its quite versatile, solid high-mid range punch that can still brawl in a pinch. I recommend it.
