For those who haven't noticed yet, Founders program came with included "premium" account time, which gives a boost to XP and CB per match.

its avaliable on the main screen to buy "premium" time, at the bottom of the page, as seen here:

at the bottom of start page, click add time, then select how much you want to add.
same with MC (it takes you to a web page - the same web page you see when you login to this forum, and click profile)

COSTS ARE ACCURATE AS OF 13/11/2012 AND MAY CHANGE.

and for those who want some number crunching (rounded numbers for readibility):

25,000 $99.95USD ~250MC/$1
12,000 $49.95USD ~240MC/$1
6,500 $29.95USD ~217MC/$1
3,000 $14.95USD ~200MC/$1
1,250 $6.95USD ~179MC/$1

obviously the more you buy at once the cheaper it is, same with time.
the first number per day is if you bought the 25,000MC pack, while the second number is if you bought the 1,250 pack (highest and lowest cost)

1 DAY - 250 -250/Day ~$1.00 - $1.40 /Day
3 Days - 650 -216/Day ~$0.86 - $1.20 /Day
7 Days - 1250 -179/Day ~$0.72 - $1.00 /Day
30 Days - 2500 -83/Day ~$0.33 - $0.46 / Day
180 Days - 13500 -75/Day ~$0.30 - $0.42 / Day
360 Days - ???
(i guess it doesn't show up what you can't afford)

Thank you very much for this info. Using MC to buy mechs directly has no appeal to me. However because I'm currently grinding pug matches, gaining more xp/cbills per match is very appealing. I'm planning on getting $50 worth of MC when I get home!

I find it so stupid how they implement premium. A new player who finds that buttons and clicks it finds everything greyed out! It looks like it is not even implemented. You have to buy MC to find out the prices! it is like a store which does not post it prices for everyone; only those who bought in-store credit get to even see. So someone might buy some MC only to find out they cannot buy the level of premium or not like the price of the premium. Talk about buyers remorse.

I think the single best purchase a new player could make is to buy small amount of premium to avoid the grind. I have 3 weeks of premium and generated >150MM CB in ~600 games.

Your table should be pinned (mods).

And yes, only someone with more than 20,000 MC could tell you the price of 360 days because of this wonderful buyer-remorse price disdplay system. I do not know how much it is either.

I agree, it's dumb to not display at all, rather than display grayed out. However, in another post it was reported that 360 days = 24,000 MC.

Those numbers above are nice, but a better representation is the cost of premium time per month to compare to other subscription games.

1 Day - 250 -250/Day ~$29.99 - 41.70 /Month
3 Days - 650 -216/Day ~$25.99 - 36.14 /Month
7 Days - 1250 -179/Day ~$21.42 - 29.79 /Month
30 Days - 2500 -83/Day ~$10.00 - 13.90 /Month
180 Days - 13500 -75/Day ~$9.00 - 12.51 /Month
360 Days - 24000 -67/Day ~$8.00 - 11.12 /Month

Note the big cost jump below 30 days. It's not practical to buy shorter chunks unless you just want to test the system out or have some other need. 2 1250 MC packs will get you a month at 13.90, and a 3000 pack will be 12.46 with 500 left over.

If you think of it in terms of purchasing a new game, for 49.95 you get 12000 MC. That's enough to get 2 months of premium, the Yen-Low-Wang, a bunch of Mech Bays. I think it's a great starting point, but your wallet may have different opinions.

Personally, I would love a year long weekend premimum pass. I only really have time to play on the weekends what with work and everything. Make it $30 or so and I'd be all over it.

Or allow me to buy blocks of premium time that only count down during the match.

As is, there just isn't a good reason for me to buy any premium time in addition to my founders time considering cost/hour I actually would play.

Now i know why I get so much lower CB and XP than others. I have never bought premium time.
Firstly, i never even looked. I just bought mechs and started to play.
However, like Narcissistic Martyr I only had time to play weekends until recently, so I would not have paid for the premium time anyway. I'm not even sure right now what you really get, actually.

with the latest patch, I have stopped playing so I guess I will not know for a while.

There was a post in the past that did the math.

Basically it said that if you want to spend money and play a lot, premium time is the way to go. Money + lots of games = lots of Cbills.

If you want to spend money and don't play a lot, buying mechs with MC is a better deal. I have read posts about people buying a mech with MC and then stripping it and selling it back just for the engine and the weapons and the Cbills,

Oh I forgot the third option: buy a hero mech. You pay real money for the mech, but you get a Cbill bonus every time you play. If you enjoy playing your hero mech, the Cbill bonus is definitely worth it! I bought a YLW and have had lots of fun with it (even though most players say it is lame.) But the Cbill bonus adds up over time. And there is no time limit on hero mechs. In fact. I think I will play with my wang right now :-)
