What are the mechanics for salvage?
I have heard a few different variations. DC mechs don't count, only get engine salvage, has to be headshots, etc etc.

You get an old beat up pickup truck, drive around picking up scrap, and sell it to your local metal recycler.
That's how I've seen it done.

Salvage is calculated at 2% of the purchase value of the undamaged equipment and components of all destroyed enemy Mechs divided equally amongst the members of your team.

Leaving more of the enemy Mech intact = more undamaged components = more things to Salvage. Headshots and Legshots are ideal for this because they kill the Mech without damaging the weapons or the Engine.
