Standard matches:
You can field any build and be successfull even with trial mechs.
The meta builds taking part in this game mode are less leathel
cause teams consists of enough new players mostly
to make them not dominate the hole field.
Its kinda forgiving in many aspects and by the way my main mode of choice.
Standard matches with groups:
Here you still can field non meta builds, but you die much quicker
e.g. running in a bunch of 6 mechs, be priority target and gettin pulverized in seconds.
As the name says, mostly groups of 4-6, less frequently 8-12 ( but when they
show up it get´s intresting). The meta mechs are very common in this game mode
so its kinda unforgiving to do failures in thermes of rushing in alone or gettin
seperated from the group. Here it can get tricky with a trial i think, and you shoud
avoid it to learn mwo in this enviorment.
Community warfare:
It´s the home of the meta,2x gausses vomit built´s and laser boat´s.
I don´t wanna say it´s bad, it´s just a mode where you have to know what you have to do
and where you have to go.The mech build is also very important for group tactics.
And you have to know how to overwhelm the defense effectively.
Mostly rushing the enemy as ONE GROUP.
In thermes of survivability it can be very unforgiving when you
don´t know how things work in CW.There are frequently matches be kicking off with
pug´s but to be honest, for me it feels that it has to be played in large groups
e.g. 6-12 mans to really enjoy this
(got CW matches with my unit i enjoy to looking back on).
Communication is imho a must when you take part,
and i am not speaking about text chat.
Against 12 mans it can be very frustrating as a solo player,
but as i said i don´t think it´s made for that kind of gameplay experience.
So if you wan´t to take part with a reliable chance to success,
JOIN A UNIT ( i hate this sentence....
