
However, whilst you are here why not take a look at some things I think would be nice to see included in the near future. (Nothing big here, just minor tweaks ect)
1) Environmental Soundscapes.
You know that blizzard on Frozen? What about that huge waterfall on Forest Colony? How about those Aerospace fighters shooting each other on River City? Not to mention the roar or hiss of the geysers on Caustic?
The one thing all those have in common is that they are silent. I want to hear the wind howl during a blizzard. The crash of water on forest, and also the staccato popping of explosions in the distance.
This would be really easy to implement and I think add to that sort after gameplay element that is immersion. If I can hear a mech approaching 100s of meters away I should be able to hear a 400 meter waterfall land on me.
2) Water
Its raining on Forest, Snowing on Frozen. I think that may even be ash falling on caustic. I want to see rain drops, spray from the lake etc flow down my mech cockpit. Give me a windscreen wiper if it gets too much. Also Mechs make hardly a ripple when moving through water. Lets see some suitable wakes of spray cascading behind them.
3) Footsteps
You've probably noticed that Mechs leave footprints (Like Bigfoot only Bigger) However they disappear after a few seconds. Why not make them last the match? (Memory?) That way scouts can see which way the main body went and track them down.
4) Spent Ammo Casing
That Ultra AC5 sure chews through some ammo right? But where does it all go? Lets see mechs spitting out spent cartridges behind them.
That will do for now, back to the grind for me.
