I know that going slower means a tighter turn in general but at the same time, going over a certain speed should result in turns becoming even wider... There are alot of circle fights going on between lights and alot of lights just being able to run at max speed and make some really tight circles around the heavier mechs...

Increasing the turn radius of a mech based on speed would do alot to help out without altering the current dynamic too much... Yes, it would result in the circle fights continuing but the radius those fights can be conducted at would change to a larger area making them not the best option all the time... Lights would have to slow down in a tighter area if they wished to circle fight making them more vulnerable (and reducing lag shield) to those mechs that cant turn or twist anywhere near as fast but still without making the light a non-viable option...

Perhaps it could be done by taking half of the mechs current top speed and saying that is it's optimal speed and as you go faster than that your turning radius deteriorates more and more as you reach towards top speed... The greater the difference between half speed and top speed would mean a greater deterioration of the radius so that slow mechs would not be affected as much by this mechanic...

Let's say you have a top speed of 150... Your optimal speed would be 75 and there would be a difference of 75 between them... You could say that your radius deteriorates by a total of 75% once reaching that top speed meaning a 1% difference each kph... On the other hand if your top speed were only 50 then your optimal would be 25 and there would only be a 25% decrease in radius at top speed... Those numbers may not be the best of course but I believe they convey a good example of what I am trying to say...

The speed of the game in general would not not change but I believe it would make enough minor adjustments to remove the now constant circle strafe dynamic that we see going on and force the speedy light mechs to use a little more thought than just 'Go full blast and run a circle around everything till it's dead'... People would have to learn to make speed adjustments to accomplish a certain task and based on terrain/objects around them...

I think it would be something to enhance gamplay and a sense that you are indeed running around in a 35 ton 150kph machine... Yes I know, it's all just fantasy and those mechs can do whatever the devs imagine they can, but, I prefer a little realism thrown in with my fantasy...

Like..? Hate..? Don't know till you see it in action..?
