I have both MS Sidewinder presicion Pro and a Logitech Attack 3 Joysticks both running USB .Figured out how to set torso twist and Turn on The Presicion Pro (Attack 3 doesnt have rudder function) but for the life of me I cant figure how to to reverse Pitch and throttle They are reverse of what I am used to.I am running Windows 7 been hearing problems with that system though.I have also playing with the Invert Axis selection on the left hand side of options panel and it seems to make no difference.

I have played Mechwarriors 3,4 Vengence through Mercenaries and never had this problem before.

Sadly ,This is the bad part about not having a SP campaign ,A lot of people like me usually work out learning curves and control issues in the campaign before hindering RL people by leatrning "Cold Turkey" so to speak by being thrown straight into matches with them.(I just know they are cursing me behind the keyboard,LOL.)

Is there any body can help or should I just invest in new Joysticks?

http://mwomercs.com/...ech-saitek-fix/

I've got a Saitek AV8R-01...and there is no cut-and-paste solutions I've found... and I DO Love cut-and-paste Solutions.

Unfortunately...due to the lack of a Training Field... it seems as everyone, up to this point, has had to use Live Games to tweak their settings.

Maybe I'm just not as nimble-minded as I used to be
Or maybe, stuff has just gotten more difficult
I'm having a hard time tweaking settings, man
this stuff is giving me a headache.

Thanks for the Link and the reply Goodfella,I am using in USB so I am not sure if cut and post will work both my joysticks are old .The MS Presicion Pro came with the MW 3 game in a combo pack(circa 99 or 00 ) and is actually what got what me started playing MW games. The disk that it came with isnt compatible with Windows 7 OS from when I tried.I may just need to get a new joystick.

Yeah its a shame they couldn't put in a Training field or a SP campaign,I even enjoyed the campaigns in earlier MW. and they were great places to learn piloting tactics and try new BattleMech builds to see how they would do especially in the Solaris instant Battle selection in Mercs. An no you arent the only one feeling it ,the mechs don't handle as well as they did in previous games to me also, learning curve rougher to me to ,it seems anyways.Maybe once you get the piloting perks it helps with control more with the mechs,I guess I will see.

Thanks for the help, hope to see you in game.

Throwing in with these sentiments myself. Just a simple sandbox mode to get things tweaked correctly is sorely needed. I keep having to bomb out of matches to get things tweaked right and that's not a good thing.

Currently using Logitech Extreme 3D Pro and things are at a halt until the Y axis inverting is fixed. There is no possibility of palying the game without that. I can't imagine that it would be a big deal to get that working.

This game does not support joystick yet. Give up and ltp with mouse and keyboard as it will probably never be fixed.

I find it hard to believe the joystick issue will never be fixed when Razer is making a custom joystick just for this game?!?!?!?

The game *does* support joysticks. I've used a Logitech Attack 3, Logitech G13, and even an XBOX 360 controller. All three work just fine. That said, you may need to do a little tweaking to get the results you're looking for (and currently turning is digital-only not analog, though supposedly analog turning is going to be addressed).

I recommend trying this thread first:
http://mwomercs.com/...joystick-users/

That should take care of issues with pitch and throttle.

You may also need to create a "defaultProfile.xml" file in your C:\Games\Piranha Games\MechWarrior Online\Game\Libs\Config directory, though I don't believe that's necessary anymore. Check this thread for more info:

*Never under-estimate the obvious*

I've been scavenging thru all these "joystick" posts from the time I get home from work,
until the time I can't keep my eyes open anymore (or I run out of beer, whichever happens first;
because, admittedly...when you run out of beer, it IS time to go to bed.)

Two nights ago I was reading a post regarding my brand of Stick, and the Poster advised:
Download the drivers, then download and run the supplemental programming software, and you should be good.

Now..in order to even get the game to run, I updated, deleted, uninstalled, reinstalled, rolled back, overrode,
patched, tweaked, reg-edited...until I was about ready to say F*** it all, and throw the box out the window.
A last-gasp effort led to a site that showed how to do a "Repair Install" for Win7... and at that point, I was
ready to start sacrificing live chickens by the light of Tiki torches on the night of a new moon.

But it Worked.

The game Downloaded, it ran, it patched, it ran, it patched some more...but I still couldn't use a Stick

...So I'm thinking ...why not.

I updated all of the Stick software, and I'll be a S.O.B. if it didn't cure 90% of my problems.

I still have throttle and turning issues, but look up ...No...not at the Heavens for Divine Intervention

look up at Hansh0tfirst 's post above. the answers may be looming,

Thanks guys, for all the input.

The answer will come, when the Seeker is ready.
