Personally I think it is great. Win or lose so many more of my games are very close matches. There are still occasional stomps, but those can be accounted for by the normal tactical screw ups, or a couple of really bad builds. Like before group cohesion still seems to be the major factor between winning or losing.

still see more stomps than not
maybe not as often, might see 1 close game every 5-10 drops, but the rest are still stomps, 8-3 or worse

I think its all just psycological in effect.

When the enemy gets more lights than my team I get angry, and it happens a lot.

Weight balance does seem to annoy a lot of people. The lake of weight class balance has made for some interesting games. It does also make for some games that don't seem winnable. It would be nice to have a max drop weight limit option for each team.
