My system specs far exceed recommended spec and it still runs like crap.

CPU: AMD FX-8150 Zambezi 3.6GHz Socket AM3+(8 CPUs), ~4.1GHz
Memory: CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
Motherboard: ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z AM3+ AMD 990FX
Hard Drive: 80 GB (Intel X-25 SSD) 240 GB (x3 WD800 Raptor in RAID 0)
Video Card: 2x XFX ATI Radeon HD 6870 in CrossfireX
Monitor: 3x LG IPS236V 23" LED Monitors in Eyefinity Mode
Sound Card: SupremeFX III
Speakers: Logitech G930
Keyboard: Logitech G15 Gameing Keyboard

Any pointers?

ok, this is just poking the dead horse, but specs.

CPU: i7-3770k
Memory: 16gb of kingston 1866mHz DDR3 "genesis"
Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth Z77
Hard Drive: 2 x Kingston HyperX 3k 120gb @ raid0 and western digital caviar green 1tb
Video: Asus Geforce GTX 680
Sound: Asus xonar D2X

Runs anything smoothly, no need to overshoot with dual, triple or quad vid cards :D
Cpu is currently overpowered for gaming purposes, hence, building a new system soon(ish).

Couple of guys in this thread seemed to have some problems with performance, and it seems both of them are running radeon cards, would that have something to do it? (no, i am not nvidia fanboy, just a pointer)

I would strongly recommend installing latest drivers, i recall radeon released never settle driver set some time ago?
if that doesnt help, ticket to support might give some insight, also, remember to add your DXdiag txt file to that.

Also, run unigine heaven, 3dmark or furmark on your computer with prime 95 and monitor your temperatures, if they rise horribly on cpu (prime stresses this) and gpu (heaven,3dmark and furmark stresses this) then there is something wrong with your cooling, which causes performance decrease. google max recommended heat for your hardware.
on the otherhand, if you get bluescreen, then there is something more serious going on, contact your hardware dealer where your purchased your product(s), if you have still have warranty, that is.

Hope this was of some use to you people.

Running an i5 3570 on 8 GB RAM @ stock speeds with a GTX460 . . . the game never goes below 40 FPS for me running at 1900x1080 high. (Unless the memory leak kicks me in the butt, fixed by a client restart).

I see no need for more CPU or GPU at this point.

Just for the record, my rig is upgraded and i have 50-60 fps in 1080p - everything on ultra high (or whatever that is). Before that, i got 15-30 frames... it's really cpu heavy.

I can play lights now

yeah...well no, i wouldnt trust those system requirements especially the minimum... when they issued these they said they are not final and they should prob update them

im on c2d E6750, 4GB of ram and an ati HD6950....the game performance is terrible, all graphics options are turned down to the lowest no VS no AA it was unplayable..had to drop the resolution to 1600*900 (on a 22' monitor) to make it barely playable..

i too am thinking of upgrading ...but my budget is way too low at the moment... ;)

It really doesn't like C2D, I've had to run a custom config for a while now even with the thing doing 3ghz to get it to play, and just put up with the microstuttering in close combat.
I switched to a Q6600 quad core and even at 2.4Ghz it was soooo much better. At 3.6 it's lovely :(
