The forums really need an issue discussion board for hot topics like 3rd Person view.
The single forums thread approach simply doesn't work for something like this.

Because of the overwhelming disapproval of 3rd person mode, the 2 discussion threads aren't really discussions, but outpourings of people simply saying no.

This is burying alternative ideas and implementation suggestions, preventing useful feedback and real discussion. This is also the reason new topics keep getting made.

We need a forum that we can discuss these issues without new topics getting closed.

Edit:are to arn't

Interesting thought.
I basically agree!
So many good ideas do get lost in the mix.

Yea, I would go in there and say "hey! Wait! It could work if there were separate servers!" but nobody would ever read it. Discussion board/chat room thing would be good.

Yea it's next to impossible to actually carry out a conversation with replies split by several pages.

there's a suggestions section - if you have a suggestion for implementation of an issue
I've been told by support staff that they tend to compile these suggestions for discussion rather than from the discussions thread, your OP will also not get lost in the middle of a discussions thread

the discussions forum is a mess and things get easily lost... but for suggestions, you should be using the suggestions forum

Discussion of issue do not belong on the suggestions forums.
Suggestions do.

Separate discussions are getting locked, ergo the need for a issues discussion board.
