I have a few questions about how indirect fire will be run.For example; if you are in a stock Catapult C1, located behind a hill with no line of sight to the oncomming enemy, and you have a TAG equiped Raven designating a target for you ... how can you achieve a target lock to launch your indirect fire, or do you just shoot in the air and hope the missles hit?

Indirect Fire... How will it work?

Good question,
Maybe they will have an indirect fire view where you look down on the target and sight. Or they might have a targeting pip shown on your HUD and when you get your shot lined up with that you launch, like aircraft dropping laser guided bombs/missiles.

They mentioned before that if you are in range and a scout has the enemy located you can put your pipper on the location (which will show up as a red triangle facing down from screenshots I have seen) to achieve a target lock.
Alternately indirect fire will work... indirectly.

There are a few ways to handle this. One way is to bring up the area map that your sensors can scan, click the 'indirect fire' button and a circular cursor appears as your mouse pointer on the map. Click an area you wish to fire upon and the mechs computer plots a firing solution and adjusts your mech accordingly. Best results will require skill slots, standing still and scout support.
Another way is to do it purely through scout pointing using systems like sensors, C3 and scout equipment like TAG and NARC beacons.

Like Mechassault all weapons will move slower then the speed of a bird(even lasers) and will be able to change direction at will to hit your enemy! even if hes nowhere near your target...

We just do not know. anything anyone says, unless its a dev, its speculation. the answer, much like the truth, is out there, BUT, its not arriving until we get the game in our hands.
