However, the lack of map diversity impacts a fraction around 13/13 depending on how many MWO players want to enjoy good varied gameplay, so clearly it is a more pressing issue.

A way to change the HUD to be color blind would be to change the arrow on the enemy mechs to Hovering Boxes or filled in Circles; that way there is no confusion no matter what kind of stage of color loss that you have

I'm not sure if this will make you feel better but I am not color blind and I think it is getting harder to see each graphics update.

The big difference in your terrible analogy is that 12/13 of those people are only affected by arbitrary preferences where 1/13 is physically incapable of playing. These two issues are so out of scale that you should be ashamed to have even postulated it. I hope your indifference to other people's real life challenges is not as warped out in other circumstances...

...and to add to this, PGI has many times stated the map size/content issue is being worked on and soon to be released, so 12/13 people are being impatient, and 1/13 has not even been heard until now.

IM SORRY BUT YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVE NOT READ THAT THIS GAME IS BETA, OBVIOUSLY YOU NEED TO TAKE SOME MEDICATION FOR YOUR MEDICAL CONDITION, PGI IS TOO BUSY ADDING BOBBLE HEADS AND CUSTOM PAINT JOBS TO WORRY ABOUT HANDICAPPED PLAYERS. HELLO KITTY ONLINE MAY HAVE A BETTER COLOR SCHEME FOR YOU

What about those people who have been playing the same 5 maps over and over since closed beta and who are physically incapable of seeing caustic valley or forest colony 2 or 3 drops in a row? Your indifference to those who gave up their free time to beta test this game for you is shocking, and I hope YOUR indifference to other people's real life challenges is not as warped in other circumstances.

I'm not actually dignifying this with a response, just preserving it in all it's glory in case you try to edit it later. Good day, sir!

Your statement of a lack of reply is a reply in and of itself, good sir. However, that being said, I appreciate your concern for securing the integrity of the posts comprising my statement of position on this issue in the event of possible censorship by the moderators. I am truly grateful for your concern for open and honest discussion of the issues facing MWO.

I am red-green color blind myself... a way to change the targeting colors and your HUD would be great! I loved the way you could change your display color in Fallout

I've been posting and asking for attention to this issue for months now. All we get is 'yeah we know of it, we'll get to it when we feel like it' attitude from the dev team.

You know what would be great? A toggle to do a saturation and (maybe) a contrast boost..This toggle would also use easier colors, white for friendly and blue for enemy. Then, any thing readout that rely on color have a bar or a percentage.

That would probably make things a lot better.

Lots of folks have said guarantee games colors are washed out and blah, so you're not alone geek. Stay strong! It's just the art style they think is popular. Look at halo 1-4 and you will see master chief get gradually more and more washed out till he's almost gray instead of green.

I stay away from BF2BC2, BF3, MW2, MW3 BO, etc etc because of exactly this reason. It's all a washed out mess.

Anybody know if dropping the quality does anything for visibility? Any way to get rid of the haze, even change the color of the haze to white might help, make it more of a smoke/fog. Atmosphere of a game is nice, but it's not worth it if it's making it very hard to play.

I'm sorry to everybody in the forum if I sound like whining. I'm not trying to. Even if it is whining, I hope people can agree that it's better then whining about things like balance or what flavor of the month is OP.

For those who are using an NVIDIA card you can adjust desktop brightness/contrast/gamma in the control panel.

>Control panel, Appearance and Personalization, Nvidia control panel
>Display, adjust desktop color settings.
>option 2: Use Nvidia settings
>>Change brightness/contrast/gamma

You can even change the settings for RGB channels indvidially. it works if you run the game in window mode(not sure about full screen).

Unfortunately this also effects your desktop display and everything else that comes up on your monitor. Be sure to remember the previous settings if you want to reset it. I dunno how to do this on other video cards, and how to get to these controls may vary from different OS.

Hope it helps

Oooh, Thank you. I didn't think of adjusting the main color levels. I will try this tonight or tomorrow.

It's difficult to see with the vision modes even if you aren't colorblind.

Yeah, the current heatvision and NV are nearly worthless. I haven't found a map that NV works well on, because it's background is now so dark I can't see where I'm going.

Heat only works well on Frozen, and only then because the map is so damned white that the background lightens up the baseline enough to be useful. NV is still useless on Frozen.

Red leader reporting in. Er, Green leader.

Dammit, what color is it?!?

Ah forget it. I'll just go with Blue leader and be done with it.

"Blue leader standing by."

------------------------

I want to be able to adjust the HUD colors. Also, a high contrast outline around text/shapes of interest that can't be easily adjusted for color blindness would be nice.

Red/Green color blind here. I can see red/green but when they are darker or of similar intensities it becomes a bit difficult to quickly discern which color is which.

If it hasn't been stated, except in extreme cases, most color blind people can see color just fine. They just don't see it as brightly as people with normal vision.

Actually, sounds like you have color anomaly, like me. we lucked out in that we can we can see red and green (cept for a small wavelength band). but in geek's case, he can't distinguish red and green at all.
