I had an idea (scary I know)

Some of us have actually chosen call signs as their handles as opposed to an actual name for our pilots. I thought it would be cool if we could have an actual pilot biography incorporated into the game. So we could have a given name as well as call sign and chosen mech. It just adds a little flavor to things and helps flesh out and personalize your mech warrior persona.
This could be included in forum profile as well as in the GUI for the game itself.

I know this wouldn't be high on the priority list but just an idea to add a little something more to our info in game. What do you guys think?

I think we may see more of this type of thing when Community Warfare hits the scene.

Actually, this is a pretty good idea. If the game held that info: Forename, Surname, Callsign, then people would be able to play under their preferred name all the time, without having to worry about collisions.

If I'm the only Maverick in a game then my name would simply appear as Maverick, but if another Maverick was in the same round it could display me as "Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell", or "Maverick (Pete Mitchell)" or w/e. Would avoid all the horrible Maverick2789950, xxxMavericKxxx, IIImaverickIII, etc...

I'm hoping we will. Just a nice thing to be able to flesh out your character and make it more personal

I'm liking this idea. Especially if you add in Sideshow's suggestions.
