For the 3rd time now I have been getting hit from long rang and never heard a sound, no flash telling me I am taking hits, nothing. Just the sound of parts falling off. Not sure if your getting hackers already or if its just something you missed.

Another pet peeve of mine is see a mech moving at long range and not being able to get a lock-on. I can see the joker plain as day, why no lock-on??? only thing i can think of is ECM, but it was happening even before ECM came out.

Line of sight does not mean lock-on, structure and systems will determine lock-on. In mechwarrior 4 you got locks through walls but don't see structure till you get a direct los to them.


Pieces falling off due to a fit may be a Gauss cat knocking a piece off in one shot if you don't have the armor.

Also sight range for tracking enemies is only ~700 meters, less if they have ecm I think.

I often get shots from visuals only with ppc due to their range at the begining of the match with my k2.

I actually think there's a new bug out there where shot damage simply isn't showing up on the damage model. Especially bad today; lots of instances of my armor being like a sheet of paper and theirs being like 10 foot thick steel.

At the end of the day, the game just has really poor shot registration. Can't trust what your eyes see.
