TLDR version, instead of throwing up an in game post match screen that extends the match time make a post game chat that displays the match statistics.

Right now the only way to contact people who you've played recent games with is to remember their names exactly. When you don't die early in the match that can be difficult, especially when they have an oddly spelled name. There should be a tab under social for played against and with, similar to what LoL has.

Having a post game chatroom would allow players to talk about the match, report people who deserve it and better statistics could be available without locking the players who don't want to look at them out of another game.

I would like to see statistics like how much damage you took from what sort of weapon, the exact state of your mech at the end of the match, how much damage you did with each of your weapon types, your accuracy (%hit) and things like that. I know not everyone cares about that sort of stuff so they shouldn't be locked out of just dropping into the next match but it should be available for those of us who do care.

Or League of Legends, but yeah that's exactly what I want.

I see the point about a better lobby, but it sort of gets lost in a very large list of improvements. I'm more focused on specifically the lobby, not that there aren't some other good ideas there.

I'd love a little communication, in a game that's all about teamwork. TS (TeamSpeak) is great and all, and has it's uses, but sometimes I wouldn't mind catching that players name, or looking at stats for a bit.

the people I want to group with again tend to already be in my teamspeak so this does nothing for me.

That's all well and good for you, now.

But it ignores the fact that not everyone comes into a game with other friends who want to play the same game and at some point even if you come in with a set of 7 friends one or more will leave and you will want to replace them. To have a healthy game you need to support people meeting through the game. Reporting too for the more negative end.

There's a number of subforums here dedicated to or commonly used for unit recruitment (house forums, merc company and clan forums) its not hard to find a group of ppl to drop with.

When we get an opening we fill it with someone from our unit, esp with these silly 4 man groups its not hard to keep multiple drops full all night.

Also, I'm a forum troll, I'm just about the last person anyone with 1/2 a brain would put in charge of recruitment for a unit.

Moving this to suggestions.

I agree. It would be nice to see a recently played list of individuals on both sides on a per match basis.

Cheers.

In some case a copy of "League of Legends" will be nice ...
Also how the matches start ... everyone choose a mech, small briefing etc.

There have been a lot of threads and tangents within other threads that talk about, and ask for, a more detailed, interactive post match. So many that I'd honestly be shocked if nothing was done in that area. However, it may still be a lower priority as compared to some other things.

What may be more helpful for development at this point is to no longer say we want this stuff (it's very obvious we do) but to try and quantify how much we want it, as compared to other things. Like, is it something you believe would be core to your game enjoyment, or just a peripheral convenience that would just be nice to have?

As for me, I would defiantly hang around more matches I die early in, in there was more likely to be some sort of communication at the end, along with better stats. As it is, I'll just leave, because there's nothing to learn from the end game screen and nothing to talk about, because there's no talking. :)

Hopefully someone can dig up the post where one of the devs confirms a more detailed end of match screen is currently being worked on. The lobby part I'm not sure about, but I clearly remember in one of the QA's I believe where it was mentioned "This will be in the detailed end of match report under construction". The exact wording would be good to revisit also as it may give an indication of how long till we can expect to see it in game!

I wouldn't think the stats would be big hold up since PGI has to be tracking the stats to get any sort of valuable data from a beta test. If it is then by all means add a lobby to add friends, report dipwads and congratulate people who did well or whatever.

Not sure what else the UI guys are doing right now, but there hasn't been a whole lot of client UI changes in a while.

Online games thrive on having a strong community, and strong communities require the ability to easily communicate with others (though factions can certainly be restricted to achieve an Us vs. Them mentality which can also be a great boon to a PvP centric game like MWO).

There are many individuals I have met in MWO matches who I wouldn't necessarily consider friend-worthy, but who I would have liked to have chatted and shared some thoughts with after a battle. Memory returns me to the aftermath of Virtual World Battletech games where everyone involved in the match gathered up to watch a replay of the battle, discuss tactics, maneuvers, and awesome kill shots. It is one of the things that kept the Virtual World centers lively and engaging. I strongly support more communication in MWO, next to interface issues it is one of the biggest weaknesses I see in the game and one of the largest obstacles to new players getting hooked.
